Plants cannot grow without sufficient nutrients, and carrots are no exception. In addition to applying sufficient base fertilizer, carrots generally need to be topdressed about three times after emergence to ensure that the nutrient requirements of carrots in the rapid growth period are met. In terms of the amount of topdressing, we should pay attention to less before more. As for the type of topdressing, remember not to apply nitrogen fertilizer on a biased basis, but to combine a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. To be specific, the first topdressing is carried out about when the carrots grow three real leaves, the second topdressing is carried out when the carrots are fixed, and the third topdressing is carried out when the fleshy roots of the carrots develop and expand.
